Introduction
August had our best turn out yet, thanks to all the members who participated! The Splash and Dash was so fun and shout out to the Sessums for providing the grill. Our group ride was packed with members and friends who joined us down in Meridiana. Thank you to Bikanics for providing SAG! Don't forget, members receive a discount on products with Bikanics.
To the new members, and a reminder for our existing members, be sure to take advantage of all the perks you receive as an active HRTC member. Check out the Local Race Calendar for races in the Houston area. Race/Event discounts are available here - be sure to check the list before registering! This month the team tent will be up at the Katy triathlon - feel free to leave your bags there and grab some beverages and shade after.
The September Fleet Feet social will be at the Greenbriar location this Thursday, September 3- head out at 6 PM with their run club and shop with 20% off at 7 PM. The Twin Lakes open water swim will be on Saturday, September 26 at 9 AM. Members will cover their own entry fee, we have a handful of vouchers left for purchase. Don't wait - be sure to buy one at the Fleet Feet event, we may sell out before the swim!

Board Member Elections
This year has gone by quickly! We will be hosting elections for the HRTC Board in November. If you are interested in joing the Club's board for 2027 please send email president@houstonracing.com or vice president@houstonracing.com or chat with any board member at an event. There will be at least two board positions available next year.
Being a member of the board is an excellent opportunity to build management skills, or put them to good use; network with the triathlon community, not only members but also local race directors, other clubs, and coaches; and make a positive impact on the club and help shape the club's future.
Board member positions are flexible and include: president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, membership, sponsorship/at large, and at large.
