Grand Prix Rules & Scoring

NERC Grand Prix 2022

The Grand Prix Race Series is a friendly competition among NERC members. It also promotes participation in local area races that have paid the club a fee to be included.

Series Rules

Any active NERC Member who participates in a Grand Prix Race is eligible and will be scored.

  1. There are fourteen races in 2022. Members’ best seven race finishes will determine their final score.  Members may run fewer races and still accumulate enough points to place; however, runners must run at least five races to be eligible for a season award.  For the 19 and Under and 70 and Over Age Groups, the minimum number of races runners must run will be four races.

  2. Runners’ age as of May 1st will determine their age group for the year.   Age group breakdowns for males and females are as follows:
    14 and Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 and Over

  3. To be scored, runners must be active (paid) members the day before a race.

  4. Results will be posted on social media and the NERC website as promptly as possible. Questions? Please email: nercclub.20@gmail.com
